The
Training Program
The Training Program offers an in-depth
experience of all aspects of the method. The understanding of
how to work with others is, by necessity, preceded by a refinement
of one's own kinesthetic sensitivity. Therefore, participants
will experience hundreds of lessons in Awareness Through Movement (ATM).
Other elements of the Curriculum include:
- Discussions of the theoretical background
of the Method
- Videos of Dr. Feldenkrais giving lectures,
teaching ATM and giving FI lessons
- Perception development of whole movement
patterns in oneself and others
- Preparation for teaching of ATM
- Instruction in Functional Integration
- Individual Functional Integration
lessons from the staff
- Explorations of the relationship between
Awareness Through Movement and Functional Integration
- Gaining the ability to recognize the
developmental basis of everyday movement
For a full description of the training
program see The Training Prospectus
